LTE Identifier - GUTI

GUTI 구조

§ MMEI (MME Identifier) = MMEGI (MME Group Identifier) + MMEC (MME Code)

    –  MMEGI   : The identifier of each MME groups

    –  MMEC   : The code of each MME

§ GUMMEI (Globally Unique MME Identifier) = PLMN ID + MMEI

§ M-TMSI (MME Temporary Mobile Subscriber Identity)

    –  Identifies the UE within the MME

§ S-TMSI (SAE Temporary Mobile Subscriber Identity)

    –  Used to locally identify a UE within a MME group

    –  A shorter variant of GUTI

§ GUTI (Globally Unique Temporary Identifier)

    –  To keep an IMSI secure, an alternate value that a subscriber can use instead of the IMSI to access the LTE network wad needed

    –  UE can select UE ID by TIN (Temporary Identifier used in Next Update) which is located in MM context
