미디어텍 칩이 탑제 된 폰이 처음으로 한국에 정식 출시하게 되었다.

기존까지는 eBay를 통한 해외 직구로 사람들이 사랑해 왔으나, 이제는 KT를 통해 구매가 가능하게 되었다.

LTE 칩을 출시한 미디어텍의 칩이 탑재 된 제품들이 정식으로 한국 시장에 진출하는 시발점이 되지 않을까 하는 생각을 해본다.

이번에 출시되는 폰은 MT6572 Chipset을 사용한 20만원대의 저가 3G 폰이지만, 곧 LTE도 국내에 런칭되지 않을까 싶다.

Acer Enters Korea Smartphone Market with Liquid Z150

This month Acer reached an important milestone with the launch of the Acer Liquid Z150 in South Korea, signaling its official entrance into the Korean smartphone market. The move is all the more significant as Acer will be partnering with the country’s second largest telecommunications service provider, Korea Telecom (KT). KT currently holds 30% market share in the country with approximately15 million subscribers. 

This new milestone comes on the heels of the recently announced partnership with T-Mobile to sell Acer smartphones in Europe and is another important stepping stone for Acer.
